South Korean budget carrier Air Busan said Monday that it will operate four flights per week to and from Kaohsiung, Taiwan, starting from Dec. 11.

Air Busan, the first South Korean carrier to fly to and from Kaohsiung, the second largest city of Taiwan, will offer flights on Wednesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays with the 195-seat A321-200, the airline company said.

Kaohsiung, located in southwestern Taiwan and facing the Taiwan Strait, is the political, economic, transportation, manufacturing, refining, shipbuilding, and industries centers of southern Taiwan.

Busan, the second largest city of South Korea, has had sisterhood relations with Kaohsiung since 1966.
