South Korea's exports to Peru rise

South Korea's exports to Peru have increased more than 10 percent since the bilateral free trade agreement took effect about two years ago, the Korea International Trade Association reported.

Between August 2011 and May this year, exports to the South American country reached US$3 billion, up 11.6 percent, much higher than a 2.2 percent rise in exports to countries worldwide during the same period, the report said.

Exports of compact cars with engine capacity of 1,000cc or less jumped 89.9 percent, followed by synthetic resin such as acrylic (85.7 percent), TV monitors (80 percent), color TVs (68.1 percent), refrigerators (42.3 percent) and copper wire cables (39.9 percent), according to the report.
