[US] All girls can have access to emergeny contraception without prescription

After getting into heated conflict with abortion rights group, Obama administration changed their side to abiding court ruled decision that allows emergency contraception access to girls of any age without prescription.

FDA is waiting for contraception manufacturers to summit their applications with “without prescription labeling” and once they receive the application from Plan B One Step—one of the longest standing contraception makers—they will approve it immediately.

Many pro-choice groups are welcoming such a decision since they firmly believe that woman and girls have every right to make a choice of their bodies and future whether it is abortion or simply taking a hormonal contraception to prevent unwanted pregnancy.

When this new ruling will take an effect is unknown yet. Also, this new decision is concerning some parents who are afraid that this could raise underage sex rates or possibility of contraception harmful side effects.
